Crimson Cab is a Program offered here at NMSU to ensure the safety of our students by offering a safe ride. With your NMSU ID, you can call Crimson Cab, at 575-524- TAXI, during the hours of operation. Crimson Cab will take you wherever you need to go within the Las Cruces Community.
Crimson Cab is one of ASNMSU’s most popular and favorite Services among students.

All NMSU students can utilize the service with the presentation of your student ID.
Services shall be provided within the geographical area of the City of Las Cruces and up to 15 miles outside the city limits.
Taxi- cab will wait up to only 5 minutes upon arriving after a phone call from the student-rider.
When student- rider gets in the taxi-cab, ID will be checked and the ID number recorded. A card with terms and conditions of the program will be provided to the student-rider. Student -rider must agree to the terms and conditions; if they refuse to accept the programs parameters, the taxi-cab will drop them off either at a safe location, or return to the point of pick up.
If an eligible NMSU student utilizes the taxi ride service provided through ASNMSU Crimson Cab Program, the student may receive a return ride to the student's vehicle within (17) hours of the original ride. The original ride must be during the regular operating hours. The return ride must be during the hours of 8:00am to 2:00pm.
Students are only permitted to utilize this service once per night.
Not adhering to these regulations will result in consequences. This Program is on a three strike system. Services will give you two warnings before the privilege of using this service is taken away for the remainder of the semester.
