A screened escort will pick you up and give you a ride anywhere on campus or up to two blocks off campus. You will be able to recognize them by their yellow jackets!

Student Legal Aid:

Receive FREE legal advice! The Student Legal Aid Program is provided by ASNMSU to assist students with legal problems. Some of these problems include but are not limited to: family law, debt or credit realtions, personal injury, property damage and simple criminal matters.

The Student Legal Aid program, or SLAP, is designed primarily to provide advice and to make appropriate referrals . Time and cost restraints prohibit the SLAP attorney from representing students in court without diminishing the quality and service available to all students. Therefore, matters requiring litigation will be referred off campus. Professional ethics also do no permit the attorney to advise students who already have an attorney.

The Student Legal Aid program is available for all currently enrolled full-time students. You can make an appointment with the SLAP program by showing a current activity sticker and a student ID card. The SLAP lawyer is located on the second floor of Corbett Center in the ASNMSU office.

Contact Chris. S. Ray, Student Legal Attorney at (505) 646 4419.

Night Ride has changed its name. It is now Crimson Cab which is a service that offers a FREE taxi ride anywhere in Las Cruces. With proof of valid NMSU ID-students can use this free service to help them in extenuating circumstances when they are in need of a ride. ASNMSU is always working to help ensure the safety of our students!
